Snow & Angels

Well, it snowed again yesterday. Ironic since I had told my mother it doesn't snow that much here in the barren desert (which it usually doesn't). The weather is trying to undermine my credibility. This is the second storm since my parents have been here visiting from Pennsylvania. No more than 2 inches fell, but then it threatened to ice over, so we canceled our fabulous plan of ringing in the new year at the professional bull-riding rodeo. Thankfully we were still able to party with some sweet neighbors across the street and drink Martinelli's at midnight before skating our way back home. Ally asked Chris if he'd help her build a snowman since that's something Special Agent Oso had shown her on TV. They went out this afternoon and made a cute one. Ally named her Mommy. Chris told me he was okay with leaving "Mommy" out there in the cold 'cause they'd given her a scarf to wear. Thanks!

So, what else have we been up to? A lot of running around the house (literally), watching TV, reading books, baking, and the new favorite family activity-- sleeping like angels.

HAPPY
NEW
YEAR!

I love Cora's expression in that last photo. Hope you're staying warm in all that snow!

Those pictures are great! It does figure that you've had so much snow just when your parents visit, but that just means more people to help with the snow-mommas.
