Disappointment?

Last March we tried to see the monster trucks but were turned away at the parking lot 'cause the event was already sold out. If you're a loyal fan of our blog, I'm sure you'll remember our exciting alternate activities that evening. (Just for fun, you should hit the link and see how much Ally's grown up in a year's time.)
Well, we didn't want to miss out on the redneck fun 2 years in a row, so this time we purchased our tickets-- and our earplugs-- in advance. Cora didn't get to see any of the trucks in action since she spent the whole time with her head pressed into my chest and arm for additional ear protection. I can't say that she missed out on much. The car-eating dinosaur didn't come this year, and the big stunt was nothing like the promos we'd seen on TV. We weren't wanting blood and guts, but the noise-to-action ratio was very lopsided. We left early and treated ourselves to some fried pickles.

Thankfully we have a friend that will still visit us in spite of our poor choices in entertainment. Thanks, Jess, for hanging out and helping with our day-to-day non-fun. I still say you need to fly back here as soon as possible to retrieve your cold. We're almost done with it now. . .

Kiss Them, They're Irish

Happy
Saint Patrick's
Day!

Since my children have some watered-down Irishness in them, they'll be wearing green on Wednesday. However, that probably won't prevent them from being pinched 'cause they're just so darn cute. I'm hoping this year a leprechaun will appear on my doorstep with a pot of gold to reward me for eating the corned beef.

Sisterly Love

"Mommy! Ally's kissing me again."

"Mommy! Cora's pulling my hair again."

It's been 3 months since Cora popped into our lives, and Ally is still having self-moderation issues when it comes to showing her affection. Cora recently learned how to fight back. (You go, girl!) I'm sure that, with each passing month, they'll continue to perfect and diversify they're picking on each other skills.

Happy 3 months, Cora!
We love you
(and your big sis, too).
